- Mariya Javed-Payne, MSW, LICSW, LADC Are you wondering about the differences between Brainspotting and EMDR therapy? 🤔While both are effective for trauma treatment, Brainspotting focuses on accessing the brain's natural healing ability by utilizing and processing on focused eye positions connected to trauma in the brain. EMDR uses bilateral eye movements and a protocol, while Brainspotting emphasizes the therapeutic relationship and internal processing guided by the client’s nervous system. ✨ . . . #awakenconsultingservices #healingtrauma #mentalwellness #mentalhealthmatters #mindfulness #counselingservices #healingpractices #decolonizedtherapy 11 1 Comment
- Abdelreheem Elshanshory The average strength training program will last several weeks to several months before a new training phase is implemented. Considering this time frame, a single workout may seem inconse. quential to the overall program. Yet the design of each single workout is just as important as the overall program. This is because each workout adds up sequentially to create the long-term training program that will provide the adaptations that the program imparts. discusses the principles involved in designing a single strength training workout. Every workout is composed of at least five specific program variables that you can manipulate in order to alter the workout: choice of exercises, order of exercises, number of sets, resistance, and rest taken between sets. You must carefully choose these variables to get a workout that is appropriate for your level of fitness and that initiates the desired adaptations. Although strength athletes such as Olympic weightlifters, powerlifters, and bodybuilders have manipulated these variables for many years, WilliamJ. Kraemer, PhD, is credited with scientifically determining and recording what he has termed the five. The systematic alteration of these acute variables results in the periodized training program 1

- CL W 🏈 The San Francisco 49ers' defensive dominance: A testament to Robert Saleh's philosophy 💪Robert Saleh's defensive strategy for the 49ers is all about simplicity, speed, and physicality. By keeping things straightforward, Saleh allows his players to showcase their talents and play to their strengths. 🌟The results speak for themselves: The 49ers' defense ranks among the NFL's best in yards allowed, points allowed, and takeaways. 📊 Players like Fred Warner and Nick Bosa have thrived under Saleh's system, making game-changing plays and disrupting opposing offenses. 🔥Saleh's emphasis on gap discipline and physicality has made the 49ers particularly effective against the run, while his approach has also helped the team create turnovers and capitalize on opponents' mistakes. 🙌What do you think about Robert Saleh's defensive philosophy? How has it contributed to the 49ers' success this season? Share your thoughts in the comments below! 📝#49ers #RobertSaleh #NFLDefense #FootballStrategy #DefensivePhilosophy
- Dr. Sarah Thompson EFT Teaching Tip #5: As an EFT therapist, it is important to learn to put yourself in your client’s shoes If you feel deeply yourself, paying attention to your own feelings and bodily sensations may be a great tool to assist you in better understanding your clients’ inner experiences. Deep empathic attunement is a bit like being a human tuning fork. When a still tuning fork comes close to a similarly shaped vibrating tuning fork, the still fork begins to vibrate at the same frequency as the tuning fork that is already vibrating. Super-feeler therapists can have a similar reaction between their own and their client’s nervous system. In my experience, this can be both a therapist’s greatest asset and their greatest weakness. Super-feeling therapists must beware empathic distress – a reaction in which empathic attunement to another’s deep pain or distress leads to personal feelings of emotional turmoil, pain, or helplessness in response. If you are not a super-feeler or have less access to your own felt sense, learn to hone your skills in cognitive empathy. To do this, look for clues to what your client may be feeling in their vocal tone, facial expressions, and muscle tension in the body. Ask yourself what you might feel if you were in a similar situation to the client (watch out for implicit bias when taking this route!), or work to more fully intellectually understand your client’s point of view through curiosity and without judgment. - Ron Kaiser, Ph.D. Reversing Insulin Resistance: Insights from Dr. Morgan NolteIn this episode of REJUVENAGING with Dr. Ron Kaiser. Dr. Ron welcomes Dr. Morgan Nolte, clinical specialist in geriatric physical therapy and founder of Zivli, an online course and coaching program dedicated to reversing insulin resistance for long-term weight loss and disease prevention. With over 100,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel, Morgan's content has reached millions, emphasizing preventive education over crisis management.Dr. Morgan begins by demystifying insulin resistance, explaining that it is a condition where the body's cells become resistant to the effects of insulin, leading to a host of health issues like high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and type 2 diabetes. She underscores that even individuals not diagnosed with diabetes could be insulin resistant if they exhibit symptoms such as excess belly fat, or difficulty losing weight. Dr. Morgan stresses the importance of early detection, recommending that individuals request a fasting insulin test from their physicians, even if their blood sugar levels appear normal. The conversation between Dr. Ron and Dr. Morgan transitions into preventive measures, highlighting the benefits of a low-carbohydrate, high-protein diet, and the significance of regular resistance training and physical activity. Dr. Morgan also provides practical advice for parents on managing children's sugar intake and fostering healthy eating habits from a young age. Her insights emphasize the necessity of mindset in lifestyle changes, urging listeners to adopt small, sustainable habits for significant health benefits.Dr. Morgan shares her journey from working with geriatric patients to founding Zivli, driven by her desire to prevent the chronic conditions she frequently encountered in her practice. She explains that while reversing insulin resistance is always possible, it requires a proactive mindset and a commitment to lifestyle changes. Morgan's Zivli program offers comprehensive support for individuals looking to improve their health through targeted dietary and exercise strategies. This episode is a compelling call to action for anyone interested in taking control of their health and preventing the long-term effects of insulin resistance.Listen here:https://lnkd.in/exSzxH58#DrRonKaiser 1

- Hugo Vrsalovic Excellent video. It is sad that 90% of the sponsors for the National Council on Problem Gambling are casinos, sportsbooks and lotteries. No federal money so these councils receive meager money from the States. It is the politicians who got bought by gambling lobbyists and they see fake tax revenues because the tax revenues that are collected and assumed extra money is money that is not spent in the economy under normal circumstances. The Gambling industry has been strategic in saying Gambling is Entertainment (it is not, if you place any bet you are tense and anxious for the outcome), Responsible Gambling is a farce (the industry can’t advertise enough or stop coming up with more and more gambling options) (there is no benefit to live betting or prop betting because it creates chasing and mental health issues for NCAA and MLB athletes after being abused by gamblers), Safe Gambling (gambling is the most addictive substance or behavior, and the ability to be on your phone creates an avalanche of problems). I have watched all forms of gambling constantly increase the odds for the house whether it was going to five or six deck shoot in blackjack, or the 00 in roulette or the powerball in lotto, create more almost wins in slots, or more push of parlays in sports betting. Yes Gambling is a Public Health issues as we will see more suicides in this country as gambling expands. We will follow the UK in this most depressing statistic. 1

- CL W 🚨 Attention sports enthusiasts in Alaska! 🏈⚾️🏀Did you know that sports betting remains illegal in our state as of 2024? 😮 Despite attempts to introduce legislation, such as Rep. Adam Wool's HB 385 in February 2022, progress has been slow. 🐌Alaska's conservative stance and lack of major sports teams have made the industry less appealing to sportsbooks, reducing the likelihood of lobbying for legalization. 📜Currently, Alaskans have limited legal gambling options, including fantasy sports, bingo, and dogsledding. However, no legal sportsbooks operate within the state. 🙅♂️While offshore sportsbooks may accept Alaskan bets, they do not provide consumer protections and may not pay out winnings. 💰❌It seems that Alaskans should not expect sports betting to be legal anytime soon. 🗓️What are your thoughts on the current state of sports betting in Alaska? Should the state consider legalization, or do you agree with the conservative approach? Let us know in the comments below! 💬Don't forget to like, comment, and share this post to spread awareness and encourage discussion! 👍📣#AlaskaSportsBetting #GamblingLaws #SportsBetting 1
